Berlusconi’s hopes for a quiet divorce shattered – wife demands share of £5.6bn empire
Matteo | Nov 13 2009

Silvio Berlusconi’s hopes for a ‘quiet’ divorce settlement have been shattered after his wife demanded a share of his £5.6billion empire.

Papers filed in a Milan court also showed that Veronica Lario blamed the Italian premier ‘entirely’ for the split, setting the scene for a messy court battle.

She is insisting their three children get an equal share of his Fininvest holding company - of which Berlusconi’s two children by a previous marriage also have a sizeable stake.
